Donna & Waylon, the Faces Behind DeLaTerre Permaculture Farm

We’re a small, family-owned regenerative farm in Eros, Louisiana, dedicated to raising pasture-raised meat, farm-fresh eggs, and seasonal produce with integrity. Every morning, we walk the same fields you’ll harvest from, care for the same animals that supply your table, and put the same love into every crop we grow. Our work is about more than farming — it’s about feeding our neighbors, building soil health, and restoring the land for future generations.

Waylon grew up tending backyard gardens and raising livestock in rural Louisiana, while Donna’s roots come from a permaculture-inspired lifestyle in Portland, Jamaica, surrounded by chickens, pigs, and perennial fruits and vegetables. Together, we blend tradition and innovation to cultivate health — from the soil up — in every plant, animal, and egg we harvest for you. We’re honored to share this journey with you — welcome to our farm family!

Why are we pursuing Regenerative Organic Certification?

We’re doing this to ensure transparency, fairness, animal welfare, and a healthy ecosystem for both your table and our future.

We believe farming should restore the land, not deplete it. That’s why we’re actively working toward Regenerative Organic Certification — the highest standard in farming that ensures soil health, animal welfare, and fairness for farmers and communities. This journey is about accountability and transparency, so that when you choose DeLaTerre Farm, you know you’re supporting practices that build a healthier future.
